Former Manchester United right-back Rafael da Silva has picked his six-a-side team in an exclusive interview with MUTV Group Chat as he found it hard to settle on his goalkeeper. Rafael da Silva had two options namely Edwin Van Der Sar and David De Gea.

Rafael da Silva changed his answer once on the goalkeeper for his team before he finally made the decision to start retired Dutch national team shot stopper Edwin Van Der Sar in goal. Van Der Sar is the current CEO (Chief Executive Officer) at Dutch Eredivisie side Ajax Amsterdam.

For the team in front of Van Der Sar, Rafael da Silva went for the likes of Ryan Giggs, Antonio Valencia, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney.

England international Ferdinand was the only defensive-minded player in the Manchester United six-a-side team selected by Rafael da Silva.

Since leaving Manchester United during the Louis Van Gaal era, Rafael has featured for both Lyon in the French Ligue 1 and Turkish Super League team Istanbul Basaksehir but his love for the Red Devils remains intact. Rafael da Silva is a cult hero amongst the supporters of Manchester United.

Rafael joined the Red Devils alongside his twin brother, Fabio in 2007 and they had to wait for several months before the chance to play opened for the two Brazilian players.

Brazilian defender Rafael turned out for Manchester United 170 times. He scored five goals in all competitions during his time at the Theatre of Dreams. During his time in Manchester, Rafael won three Premier League titles including the 20th record-breaking league title at the end of the 2012/13 campaign.

The record-breaking feat came during the final season under Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United. Rafael lasted one more season at the club before he left to sign from French Ligue 1 club.
