RAFAEL DA SILVA COULDN’T SAVE LYON AS THEY FELL 4-1 TO REIMS
Brazilian midfielder, Rafael da Silva played in Right Back in the defense team but couldn’t save the day as the defense collapsed as they lost by a stunning 4-1 defeat to their opposition in the French Ligue 1.

Reims were relegated to Ligue2 after four years in top flight football but they left on a high as they thrashed Olympique Lyon embarrassing the defenders in the final round of games in the just concluded season.

Lyon responded when they reduced the goal-deficit just before the break.
After the break, Turan scored a stunning 30-yard goal sending the fans into wild jubilations. The hosts completed the tally when Samuel Umtiti clumsy challenge on Charbonnier gave away a penalty and Kyei firedit to the net. Toulose two late goals gave them the victory helping them avoid relegation to the lower league.
Olympique Lyonnais placed second with 65 points below Paris Saint Germaine who lifted the trophy for a record time. Da Silva and the rest defenders had little to fight for as they had qualified for Champions League ahead of Monaco though they finished with the same points. Monaco will play the UEFA Champions League Qualifiers while Nice will play the Europa League. Silva is a summer transfer target for English Premier League side, West Ham.
