SUAREZ WAS DISRESPECTFUL
Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva has said that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was responsible for urging United to a victory in the match between the two clubs recently.
Luis Suarez has been the central of attention ever since he was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.
He was once again at the mercy of the Old Trafford faithful after ignoring a handshake with Patrice Evra when the two sides met each other for the league match at Old Trafford. Luis Suarez was given an eight-game ban after being found guilty of racially abusing Patrice Evra. Ironically, he was returning for the first time after the eight game suspension in the match against Manchester United.
Manchester United had defender Fabio da Silva on the bench. Due to the impressive performance of his teammates, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson did not see the need to bring on Fabio da Silva during the match. Manchester United won the match 2-1, which kept them in the race for the Premier league title along with Manchester city.
Following the victory, Fabio da Silva said that it was the ignoring of the handshake that prompted a great response from Manchester United. Luis Suarez managed to secure the goal for Liverpool, which gave them a slight chance of getting back into the match.
“Patrice wanted to forgive Suarez. In Anfield he was attacked, but at Old Trafford he offered the hand. The action of Suarez was not justified. For me, to reject the hand of someone is very serious. The action of the Uruguayan before the beginning of the match increased our force to defeat Liverpool,” Manchester United defender Fabio da Silva said after the match.
Liverpool still remain some way off from finishing in the Champions League places. Meanwhile, Man Utd remain the best Europa League betting tip, and hopefully Fabio should get a game against Ajax in the return leg.
