Rafael is back! Its been a disasterous start to the season for our favourite right-back, but he is finally back on his feet (and in his football boots) and ready to play.

Rafael had a promising pre-season but was unlucky enough to get injured in the Community Shield match against Manchester City, just a week before the season started.

In his absence, both Phil Jones and Chris Smalling have been tried out in the right-back position that Rafa made his own at the start of last season, but with Smalling now ruled out with a broken toe and Jones needed elsewhere, this could be great timing for Rafael.

"Rafael has been training for over a week." said Sir Alex ferguson. "It was a big operation on his shoulder and we hope we can maybe fit a game in for him maybe the next reserve game.

"He's coming along fine, there has been no setback and he has been training every day."
