FABIO BACKS CARDIFF
Fabio Da Silva has stated that the Cardiff city players should show more fight in order to get themselves out of relegation trouble.
The club started the game against Liverpool during the weekend extremely well. They managed to take the lead twice the encounter, but ended up losing the match 6-3. This result not only dampen their spirits, but also the possibility of getting out of the relegation zone. They are now three points adrift of safety with only nine matches remaining in the season.
Fabio Da Silva, who is on loan until the end of the season from Manchester United, says that the club needs to show more fighting spirit between now and the end of the season. After failing to get regular first-team football at United, Fabio has been a regular player for Cardiff. He was at his imperious best against Liverpool, but the club as a whole, were disappointed with their defensive lapses. It is expected that if Cardiff end up staying up in the Premier league, Fabio may consider a permanent move to the club.
The 23-year-old is unlikely to have much first-team opportunities back at United, who are expected to spend big in the summer in order to overcome their struggles this campaign.
"What we all have to ask ourselves individually is, 'what can we bring to the fight'? We have to give our all as individuals and as a team to ensure we stay in the Premier League. It doesn't matter who we are playing against when it gets to this stage. We need points and every match is an opportunity. We must not look too far ahead," said the left back. The departure of Patrice Evra in the summer may actually help him establish himself at United, but United have been linked with a couple of big names.
