REDKNAPP SLAMS PLAYERS

The QPR manager Harry Redknapp has blasted the performances of his overpaid players after the recent 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United. QPR came into the weekend having just won their first Premier league match of the season.

Redknapp said prior to the match that it was extremely important for them to build on the victory in order to get away from the relegation zone. However, they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Newcastle United. This was the first defeat suffered by the new manager since taking over the reins from Mark Hughes a few weeks ago.

The Manchester United right back Rafael Da Silva has said that he misses his twin brother Fabio Da Silva a lot since the Brazilian moved to the Premier league club QPR on a season long loan deal.

Due to the presence of Patrice Evra in the left back position, the manager Sir Alex Ferguson decided to send the youngster on a loan deal till the end of the season. Even though he is at the club where he should get a lot of games, Fabio Da Silva has largely found himself on the sidelines due to a number of injury problems.

Fabio Da Silva has said that he is eagerly waiting for QPR’s next game against Chelsea. Silva is a contracted player of Manchester United, but, he has been placed on loan to QPR this season.

The winger hasn’t been able to make that much impact playing for QPR in the ongoing season, but, he is determined to do well in the further matches. Silva was struggling to find a place in United’s first XI. That prompted Alex Ferguson to place him on loan.

Fabio Da Silva’s club, Queens Park Rangers, has secured a place in the third round of the capital 1 Cup by defeating Walsall. QPR won the match comfortably by 3-0.

The QPR players looked in complete control throughout the match and played with attacking attitude right from the first minute. Earlier, the manager of QPR, Mark Hughes, decided to go with the experienced goal keeper Robert Green instead of the new signing Cesar. There have been speculations that Green might have to sit on the bench, but, Hughes showed his confidence in Green and included him in the first XI.

The progress of Manchester United’s Brazilian wing backs Rafael and Fabio Da Silva has gone almost backwards this season with both of them being in and out of the side through injury and poor form respectively and the one chance they got to prove to Sir Alex Ferguson that they do have a future at the famous club against Ajax Amsterdam in their UEFA Europa League match at home, they could not grab it with both hands.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has warned his Brazilian twins Rafael and Fabio Da Silva that they need to cut down on the number of stupid challenges they make in order to reduce the time they end up spending on the treatment table.

The twins, signed from Brazilian club Fluminense almost 6 years back now after impressing the manager at the Manchester United Youth Cup, are currently out of action, nursing injuries.
